GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE SERVICE OF COACH HIRE WITH DRIVER

 

SUBJECT OF THE SERVICE

The bus hire service from the bus depot with driver is provided by CALANDA REISEN with its own buses or with an equivalent vehicle from a third-party company.

All vehicles used are:

e) in possession of a regular vehicle licence;

f) equipped with a licence for the customary provisions;

g) equipped with regularly overhauled tachographs;

h) inspected annually in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Furthermore, the vehicles have an appropriate capacity in relation to the number of passengers and demonstrate perfect efficiency in terms of mechanics. This is confirmed by the corresponding documents of the annual vehicle inspections carried out by the Motor Vehicle Inspection.

All vehicles have the insurance cover required by law.

The vehicles are driven exclusively by drivers who are in possession of a driving licence required by law.

 

COST ESTIMATES AND CONFIRMATIONS

The quote is confirmed by CALANDA REISEN if the following deadlines are met:

- Deposit of 30% of the amount at the time of booking.

- Balance 15 days before the date of departure

- unless otherwise agreed in the quotation.

The confirmation must include all relevant data for the requested service, as well as the necessary information for invoicing.

For a service lasting several days, a copy of the detailed travel programme must also be provided.

Failure to confirm the cost estimate within the specified deadlines will result in its forfeiture and release CALANDA REISEN from any obligation. The quotation does not include any options or reservations. 

 

CANCELLATION OF CONFIRMED SERVICES

Cancellation of confirmed services must be sent to CALANDA REISEN in writing.

The customer will not be charged if the cancellation of a confirmed service is made at least 30 working days before the planned departure date.

If the customer cancels a confirmed service, the following rules apply with regard to invoicing:

30 to 22 days before departure 10% of the cost estimate

21 to 15 days before departure 20% of the cost estimate

14 to 8 days before departure 40% of the cost estimate

7 to 0 days before departure 80% of the cost estimate

 

WAITING TIMES

Calanda Reisen reserves the right to charge the following waiting time fees in the event of delays or non-compliance with the specified times:

 

Vehicles with up to 8 seats Fr. 60.

Vehicles with up to 15 seats Fr. 70.-

Vehicles with up to 19 seats Fr. 80.-

Vehicles with more than 20 seats Fr. 120.-

 

The prices are per hour

 

INVOICE

The invoice will be issued by CALANDA REISEN at the time of payment of the balance.

 

CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY

The customer assumes responsibility for any damage caused to the bus during the rental period. 

 

RESPONSIBILITY OF CALANDA TRAVEL

Calanda Reisen is not responsible for delays or missed connections due to causes not attributable to the company and generally beyond its control (such as strikes, bad weather, mechanical breakdowns, traffic, road conditions, checks by the competent authorities, unforeseeable circumstances and force majeure).

Calanda Reisen accepts no responsibility for any damage caused to travellers' luggage or other property or for the theft or other loss of their luggage.

 

HOURS OF TRAVEL

The customer is aware of the regulations regarding the chauffeur's travelling hours and rest periods. If requested, CALANDA REISEN can provide this information.

 

TIPS

A tip for particularly courteous service is always welcome. Tips for the chauffeur are not included in our prices.

 

JURISDICTION

The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Chur. Swiss law is applicable.
